Outing safety
One canonical page, linked from every intake, every departure and every confirmation email. Training and diving have separate rules, because a pool session under signal 3 is a different decision from a boat leaving the pier.
| Signal or warning | Boat dive | Pool session | Classroom session |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typhoon signal 1 | Runs. | Runs | Runs |
| Typhoon signal 3 | Cancelled. Dive coupons returned same day. | Runs unless the pool closes | Runs |
| Typhoon signal 8 or above | Cancelled | Cancelled | Moves online |
| Amber rainstorm | Runs. Decision by 06:00. | Runs | Runs |
| Red or black rainstorm | Cancelled | Cancelled | Moves online |
| Thunderstorm warning | Skipper decides. Usually delayed, not cancelled. | Runs | Runs |
Who decides, and by when
A boat departure is called by 06:00 on the day by the duty instructor, and you get a message either way. A pool or classroom session is called by 17:00 the evening before wherever the forecast allows it.
Rescheduling a missed session
Pick any equivalent session on any intake in the next 90 days, from your account. You do not need to speak to anyone, and there is no fee — this is a promise the booking system models, not a goodwill gesture.
Refunds or dive coupons
Weather cancellations return dive coupons to your account balance the same day, never a card refund. Course fees are not refunded for weather because the course is not cancelled — the session is moved.
If you cancel
Local dives: amendments to 2 working days before; same-day cancellation or a no-show forfeits the dive coupon. Trips: deposit is non-refundable once the operator is paid, balance at 45 days. All of it is stated at checkout, not buried here.
